Coastal mediterranean style guest bedroom
Over the next couple of weeks, I’ll be breaking down how I created a sophisticated coastal design style throughout a large home in Southern California. These clients have been clients of mine for over 30 years and I’ve had the pleasure of working with them for decades.
This guest bedroom pictured is upstairs and overlooks the hills of North Tustin. I covered the walls with shiplap and added some plantation shutters to start the coastal style. I found an antique mantle piece from Europe and created a headboard from it. The soft linens and cotton through the bedding are all Custom.
Two of the walls are a painted a soft blue green to match the bedding and the side tables are antiques from the homeowners mother’s home in Beverly Hills from decades ago. This is a serene look offering a sophisticated edge, compared to most coastal styles and has a Mediterranean vibe!
